Today's writing view lol. I usually try to get my words in in the morning, sitting at the table or at the window with my coffee and my cats, but my routine has been thrown lately. There really isn't much separation between my mom life and my writer’s life, and when you throw in PCS prep, things get a bit crazy. Have to take the time when you can right? 😉 Love being back in the creative stage. It's totally my happy place. This morning I had two scenes run through my mind while I was at the dentist with my lady for a broken tooth. One was for the sequel for The King’s Sword and the other (which was rather intense) was for the novella - thankfully I had my planner to jot notes down in. Of course, my ever inquisitive "not wanting to miss a thing" daughter popped right up. "Hey Mom. Sooooo whatcha doin? You writing over there? You writing your next book? Did you figure out a name for it yet?" Nope lol, not yet but I'll get there. She's so sweet. She's ok now btw and got to enjoy her first GF chicken sandwich after (winning), so yay!!
When you don’t have a fireplace, but have a big box, construction paper, and crafty kids 😍🙌🎄❤️
Signing some copies of my novel and was able to include my Five Star / Highly Recommended award stickers from @histficcompany ✍️🎉🙌 Such a great feeling to have these lovely stickers😍 Tomorrow I’m back to drafting the sequel. Hopping around on scenes right now, depending on which character is the loudest that day. I’m definitely not a linear writer. Yesterday’s notes focused on a rather enlightening conversation between Reymund and Boone - very interested to see where that leads tomorrow 😎🙌

Feels good to be back in the seat writing again. Things have been crazy and sporadic, though happily 🥰, over the past few weeks since hubs got back home. Now that he’s back to work and the kids are back to school, it’s time to nestle down with the cats 🐈, coffee ☕️, and computer ❤️ Working on presentations for our #peakerwriters conference this weekend 🙌 and then fully back into the #metzlingensaga
